Pogba reveals where Man United went wrong against Burnley

After a spirited comeback to draw 2-2 with Burnley, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed that the team lost because they were playing as if they were winning.

Manchester United were two goals down courtesy of Ashley Barnes and Chris Woods strikes but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men mounted a late comeback with Pogba netting a penalty in the 87th minute before Victor Lindelof scored in stoppage time. Solskjaer saw his perfect record come to halt as he dropped his first points since taking over from Jose Mourinho.

Speaking in an interview after the draw, Pogba revealed that they should have taken the game to Burnley from the start, “We have to learn from our mistakes and next time start the game differently. Like the manager said, you have to start strong and be aggressive because that’s what they were in the first half. We played like we were winning 1-0 or 2-0, that’s where we went wrong.

“The comeback was positive but the result was disappointing. The reaction was good, we didn’t lose, but we dropped two points we could have won.”
