Arsenal and Chelsea avoid each other as Europa League semi-finals date are confirmed

The UEFA Europa League is down to four teams with Arsenal set to take on Valencia while Chelsea battle Eintracht Frankfurt for a place in Baku, Azerbaijan for the final.

Chelsea booked their place in the semi-finals with an unconvincing 5-3 aggregate win over Slavia Prague, setting up a tie with Frankfurt, who defeated Benfica on away goals after a 4-4 draw.

Arsenal secured an impressive 1-0 away in Naples to carry them through with a 3-0 aggregate win over Napoli. Valencia are next up for the Gunners, who marched past Villarreal in comfortable fashion after a 2-0 (5-1 aggregate) win.

The first leg of the semi-finals will take place on Thursday 2nd May with Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt starting the ties at home while the second leg will come a week later on Thursday 9th May. The final is set to be played on Wednesday, May 29, two and a half weeks after the Premier League season has ended.
